Those damn kids!

Thomas Robb, the head shitbag of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, claims that he and his co-shitbags had nothing to do with the cross burnings in Durham Wednesday night. "I'm confident they'll find this was either perpetrated by some small kid or, most likely, by some kind of minority who is trying to create sympathy for whatever cause he may feel like he had." (From this article.)

The crosses in question were about 7 feet tall and 4 feet wide and made of four 2-by-4s that were screwed flat together with grooves cut at the intersections of the beams. They were wrapped in burlap, which was held tight to the wood with a metal wire, and doused in a liquid accelerant. They were erected several miles apart in three different parts of the city. Yessirree bob, sounds like maybe it was the little punk 10-year-old who lives three doors down from me. That kid always looks like he's up to no good, and I'm sure he's clever enough to procure a large truck or van to transport, erect and ignite three heavy 7-foot-tall crosses to three different parts of the city.

On the surface it seems like a surprise that fascist would choose an integrated progressive city like Durham, but it’s consistent with their current strategy. Since the 80s the Klan has consistently chosen cities that have integrated populations with crime. They play on the racism of the war on crime/drugs, because they feel they will get traction with whites fed up with crime that has a black face. The incredibly racist and slanted prosecution of the war on drugs sends the racist message that the face of crime is black. Young black men go to jail for petty drug offenses, then after “rehabilitation” come out and commit violent crimes. This plays on existing racism and fear in order to get the white population to agree to almost anything in the name of fighting crime and containing the black hordes. The Klan is the logical next step, in that they offer a final solution. They want a race war, and you’re not going to have a race war in Utah.

Thanks for the perceptive comments, intelligent anonymous person! That's consistent with the Klan flyers that were left at one of the burning sites that said "Gangbangers - by order of the Ku Klux Klan - cease and disist [sic] immediately! Local police have let your activities go too far. TAKE NOTICE: YOU WILL ANSWER TO US!!! SINCERELY, 'KKK'"
