This just in ...

Hey kids: It's not hip to be hip anymore. Halleluiah. I hope this means all the guys who still have them will shave off those stupid "soul patch" beards now. For the past ... oh it's been at least five years now, whenever I've seen one, my first thought has been "ooo, you're so edgy and individual ... just like everybody else."

And wine bars! God, I'd rather someone kill me ...

The message of the article seems to be that not being a hipster is the new hipster. (I guess there would be no article it they stopped to think that people often get less trendy as they get older because it gets a little tiresome to keep up with the bullshit.)

I'm just hoping the ridiculous facial hair starts going away ...

Thank god, now I can stop wearing these western shirts with pearl snap buttons and combat boots and go pick up some real clothes at Old Navy.

So it was cool to be cool, then not cool to be cool, then cool to be not cool, then not cool to be not cool. Arrrgh! Don't worry, it'll all come back around again.

Wait, am I hip, or no longer hip, to be cynical and ironic about this????

*head explodes*

The trends change so quickly these days ... just keep wearing what you want and it will go in and out of style several times.

Tonight's not my radio night ... you'll see jason!

whenever I see one of those soul patches I think "reverse landing strip." Which makes me want very much to laugh at the wearer, and is probably not the image they were going for.
