Help us to serve you better ...

I have a sort of question/favor to ask of you, dear readers: Will you please tell me what you think of the name "Hypermob?" That is, what do you think of the name in the context of the internet, also known as the internets? If you care to spill a few words on the topic, please leave them in the comments or, if you can't be bothered to type the stupid verification word that I have to use to keep out the spammers, e-mail it to me: "bunchofpants" "at" "gmail" "dot" "com" (also to foil the cursed spammers). Thanks in advance and all that.

Sounds a little violent. Maybe you mean it that way?

Thanks for the opinion, Adam. I don't want to say much about the intention because I just want to know what people think off the tops of their heads. And I guess you think of violencep--good! I mean, bad! Oops, I don't know what I mean!

is it a cross between flashmob and compuglobalhypermeganet? in other words, it doesn't really seem to mean or signify anything in particular

And is that a good thing or a bad thing?

And just to clarify, I did not invent the name, so I can't really tell ya'll the whole intention behind it. I'm just soliciting thoughts and opinions, all of which are appreciated.

if hypermob is supposed to be branding or identifying something then i'd say it doesn't really work for me cos it could be *anything* (well, prolly not a salad or a hacksaw, but just about anything on the internets)

Thanks, Georg. We here at CBOP value your opinion.

It sounds like one of those words like "moblog" that people who want to sound in the know will use for a few weeks, but it will never catch on, because it doesn't communicate anything and no one can remember what it means. In fact I've already forgotten the word.

Sorry to be so harsh, I'm just not big on buzzwords :)

Thanks for your opinions, y'all, and Sarah, not need to apologize--I want honest opinions, good or bad.

hyper= shaking from too much caffeine, too many stimulants, sweating, ranting, out of control. None of these are good things.

mob = 'the mob' gangsters, criminals, or 'angry mob' ignorant villagers with pitch forks and flaming torches marching to kill the poor innocent Boris Karloff in rubber face make-up, or people of colour, or wiccans or pinko communists, or queers. Not good, not nice. Don't like.
